This intriguing bottling by Ronchi begins with heady aromatics of baking spices, boysenberry liquor, white pepper, blueberry compote and suggestions of milk chocolate shavings. The aromatic range is lovely. On the mid-palate there are ripe flavors of red raspberry preserves, allspice, red cherry and orange rind with hints of creosote. This shows wonderful poise and depth and is a beautiful pairing for a wide variety of pasta dishes. (Best 2017-2022) - April, 2017 (OB)
