The 2015 Bolgheri Superiore from Tenuta Argentiera is absolutely outstanding. It begins to impress as it releases its stunning aromatics of ripe blackberries, black plums and currants along with hints of asphalt and Mediterranean herbs adding further complexity. The palate is full and incredibly smooth, as the tannins are beautifully polished. It all comes to an end with a long, enveloping finish that possesses tremendous appeal. This blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc should go on to evolve gracefully for many years to come.
