This 2016 Poggio al Tesoro ‘Sondraia’ is absolutely magnificent. This instantly grabs your attention with its gorgeous aromas of ripe black plums, currants, florals and fresh mineral character that make up the striking aromatics. On the palate this possesses a full body with firm tannins, and a majestic finish that lingers on. There is so much to like about this wine, however readers will need to be patient and allow this a few years to settle down.
