The 2020 'L'Invidio' Bolgheri Rosso begins with inviting aromas of ripe dark plums and dark cherries woven together with spices, tobacco, violets and hints of earthy nuances all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and beautifully structured with well-polished tannins that are integrated nicely into the wine. It goes on to display excellent overall balance with a wonderful combination of ripe fruit and bright acidity leading up to the long finish. This is excellent today and also has the potential to have a drinking window that spans a decade.
