The 2016 Moonlight Race Pinot Noir from Burn Cottage is simply gorgeous. This vibrant, expressive Pinot Noir opens with inviting aromas of red berries, pomegranate which are laced with dried spices, white pepper, damp earth, wet stones and rose petals all developing beautifully in the glass. On the palate this possesses incredibel finesse, with a mouthful of beautiful fresh red fruits, followed by nuances of dried exotic spices and earthy flavors which are delivered through a medium body that is silky and refined. This is already quite appealing, however I expect it will benefit from some short-term cellaring before it begins to show its best stuff.
