The 2019 Central Otago Pinot Noir is another sensational release from Burn Cottage. This refined Pinot Noir begins with vivid aromatics of cranberries, pomegranate and raspberries, which are woven together with floral pastilles, spices, dried orange zest and hints of dried soil nuances. On the palate this is finely textured and silky, focused around a tightly wound core, which is driven by bright acidity. This continues to impress with its remarkable balance and finesse which takes it to another level, as beautiful red fruits and florals continue to build on the vibrant finish. This is hands down one of the most impressive examples of Pinot Noir from New Zealand and should not be missed.
