Quinta do Crasto is located in the heart of the Cima Corgo, midway between Régua and Pinhão. The wine weighs in at 14.7% alcohol and is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Souzão. The blend was aged 12 months in French oak prior to bottling. This rich colored wine has aromas of smoked meats, violets, creme de cassis and oak. This leads to flavors of anise, blueberry compote, violets and nice density. There is a lovely graphite edge to this both rich and elegant wine and a persistent finish that lingers.
