The Carvalhas Old Vines is a field blend that is silky, ripe and extreamly compelling. As this slowly begins to unwind in the glass it releases aromas of black cherry compote, mocha and crème de cassis. On the palate this shows and intense mouthfeel with a lovely streak of minerality working together with the underlying acidity. The beautifully plush texture makes this appealing to drink now.
