The 2018 'The Field Blend' from Stark-Conde is a melange of Chenin Blanc, Roussanne and Verdelho with Viognier, which were all aged on the lees prior to bottling. The nose displays a wonderful range of aromatics from gooseberry to white rose to citrus rind and honeydew melon tones. This offers a fantastic combination of mid-palate weight and refreshing acidity as well as flavors of Gravenstein apple, white grape juice, mulberry and Meyer lemon rind. Delicious now, and should continue to drink beautifully over the next few years.
