The 2016 Boekenhoutskloof Franschoek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an outstanding release. The nose is both smoky and savory, delivering rich dark fruits that mingle with tar and chocolate aromatics. On the palate thisis fresh and dense, showing a nice sense of minerality. Chocolate fudge flavors connect with the smoky and saline tones on the palate. While a delight to enjoy at this time, it will only get better with some time.
