The 2016 Gran Reserva Rioja opens to pretty aromatics of backberries and plums along with untertones of licorice, leather, vanilla, oak and spice nuances. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous medium body, which is structured with silky tannins underlined by a wonderful combination of acidity and minerality which persists through the long sleek finish. This is showing fabulous today and should go on to drink beautifully for at least another decade or more.
