The 2012 'MC' is a modern style of Rioja that currently shows beautifully. This rich bottling begins with aromatics of Turkish coffee, eucalyptus, red currant jelly and suggestions of mint. The palate shows tremendous length and viscosity. There are dense flavors of red currant, red cherry, Chinese black tea, Mandarin orange rind and blackberry cobbler. This shows wonderful structure and flavor range and the structure of this wine suggests this will cellar for a decade or more. (Best 2017-2027) - May, 2017 (OB)
