The 2017 'Caballero' Ribera del Duero opens to aromas of black cherries, blackberries, vanilla, spices, toast and leather all taking shape. The palate is full-bodied with polished tannins and a voluptuous mouthfeel yielding flavors of ripe dark fruits, spices, toast and even adding in some mocha nuances, which are all wrapped up in a plush finish. Overall this is an approachable Ribera del Duero, which will be accessible early on.
