Buil & Gine is located in the middle of the Priorat mountains. The landscape is steep terrain covered in slate rock. This solid bottling is a blend of 60% Cariñena and 40% Garnacha. This wine was first made in 1997 and is named after the founder's grandfather. This Priorat bottling begins with an impressive range of aromas with red currant, red raspberry, lavender and pipe tobacco. There are flavors of anise, red cherry, red raspberry, French vanilla and hints of creme de cassis in this forward yet structured wine. Very solid. (Best 2016-2026) - February, 2016 (OB)
