The 2009 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Campo de Borja Veraton is made in a modern style with lots of blackberry, vanilla, toasted oak, toast, spice and pepper. This has a full body with firm structure and polished tannins, but a bit austere on the finish and the 15.5% alcohol gets a little bold. Other than that this is really tasty wine from start to finish. There is no doubt you can drink this now, but I would give it a year or so to settle down. 100% Garnacha sourced from 30 to 90 year old vines. (Drink 2012-2020) - July,2012. (JD)
