This is a beautiful Syrah from Ojai, which opens to classic aromas of raspberries and dark berries woven together with cracked pepper, lavender and cloves along with dried herb and cured meat scents. On the palate this is absolutely gorgeous, well-balanced, with a silky, refined texture backed by remarkable acidity. It continues to deliver all the way through the finish, with its soft texture and wonderful purity. This youthful Syrah is delicious today, and should continue to show even better as it ages in the bottle.
