A lovely Chardonnay that rests for 15 months in 40% new French oak that comes from 100% estate fruit, the nose displays rich and decadent aromas of roasted peach, pineapple, lemon oil, white wild flower and toasted brioche. I expected the palate to be a bit over-handed with the oak, but it’s stunning - green melon, juicy yellow nectarine, tart apple and yummy baking spices explode in the mouth. The acidity is intense, but not overpowering. The finish is lovely and goes on for ages.
