2012 is the second vintage of the Amrita, which means “nectar of immortality” in Sanskrit and is made with out any Sulphur from the organic Wenzlau Vineyard. It delivers complex aromas of wild cherry, strawberry, graphite, violet, black tea, crushed walnut, white pepper, plum and rose pedal. It possesses wonderful purity and focus mouth-watering finish. Overall, this is another wonderful effort from Sandhi and the most interesting of all their 2012s. It is approachable now, but also has nice ageing potential and should continue to show well for a decade. (Best 2014-2024) - April, 2014 (JD)
