This Pinot Noir comes from the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, which is the oldest in Santa Barbara County. The wine was aged 13 months in French oak, then fined with egg whites. It delivers bright aromas of crushed cherries, currant, plum, sweet berries, leather, and deep soil tones. The mouthfeel is remarkable as it displays a wonderful rich, silky texture with beautiful soft tannins. The finish is long and very pretty, leaving behind red fruits and hints of spice. A fantastic showing today and will improve even further with some bottle age. (Best 2015-2026) - May, 2015 (JD)
