The 2014 La Rinconada Vineyard Pinot Noir is another utterly compelling effort from Raj Parr and Sashi Moorman in this vintage. This outstanding wine opens to zesty aromatics of raspberries, red currants, exotic spices, savory herbs and fresh violets all coming together and bursting from the glass. Balanced and focused, this offers vibrant layers of flavors, including tart cherries, red berries and dried spices, which are delivered through a gorgeous ultra-smooth, round texture before ending with a long, seamless finish. This is already extremely impressive and one of the more accessible Pinot Noir’s from Sandhi, nonetheless, it should also continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
