The 'Double Dutch' Zinfandel is sourced from the esteemed Dusi Vineyard which is located on the southern end of Paso Robles, just on the west site of Highway 101. This is a dry farmed vineyard that was planted first in 1945 to hte rocky soils in the vineyard. The wine itself starts off with aromas of prune, stewed strawberry and touch of bramble. The palate shows wonderful bright acidity with a lovely plush mouthfeel. Red fruits dominate as touches of smoke and milk chocolate combine with hints of orange zest. This is a highly complex Zinfandel that has the potential to age for another decade.
