The ‘Estate Mayote’ is a gorgeous effort from this hot vintage in Paso Robles and is a massive blend of 45% Syrah, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 12% Petit Verdot. On the nose this takes on copious dark fruits with suggestions of milk chocolate and exotic spice. The palate is plush and exceedingly dense as downright delicious roasted fig, mocha, creme de cassis and crushed mint flavors all are woven together beautifully. A long-ager, this is gorgeous now but will continue to evolve well for the next fifteen to twenty years.
