The 2011 Freeman Russian River Pinot Noir is sourced mainly from Keefer Ranch and Thorn Ridge Vineyard, which make up almost half of this year’s bottling. Red berries, spices, pepper, dried floral, smoke and hints of earth instantly emerge from the glass. This has a gorgeous rich velvety feel with soft silky tannins that roll effortlessly into the spicy finish. A fantastic effort for Freeman in what is considered a challenging vintage.
