The 2008 Darioush Pinot Noir is a showing remarkably well at this stage, as the layers of aromatics and fruit flavors are simply exceptional. Sourced from the Darioush Estate Vineyard in the Russian River Valley and possessing an inky hue, this exceptional Pinot begins with intense aromas of cigar box, red cherries, cola, sassafras and suggestions of baking spices. Showing serious mid-palate weight, there are rich flavors of black cherry, cola, wild blackberry preserves and black plum which persist throughout. The minerality and structure is outstanding.
