The La Jota Cabernet Franc is a is a wonderful showing in this vintage. As this slowly unwinds in the glass it begins to release alluring aromas of ripe blackberries and dark chocolate which are woven together with graphite, freshly ground coffee, violets, tar and hints of dried spices all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully structured with excellent depth and concentration. It continues to impress with its delicious ripe flavors of dark fruits coupled by lovely underlying minerality and earthy nuances that build up to the long finish. This is a spectacular Cabernet Franc, that is showing well today, but will also continue to evolve and gain complexity over the next decade and beyond.
