The 2016 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent effort from this warm vintage in Napa Valley. On the nose the wine shows off lovely herbal undertones that combine with blackberry cobbler, mocha and anise aromatics. The palate is plush, delivering a soft and inviting mouthfeel. Wild blackberry, crushed mint, and dark chocolate covered espresso bean flavors all combine nicely in the mouth. While excellent now, this will evolve well over the next decade.
