The 2015 'Palengat' Red is absolutely stunning in this vintage. The Cabernet Sauvignon has been increasing in this bottling each year, now up to 81%, with the addition of 13% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, which all spent 20 months in 100% new French oak. This red begins with heady aromatics off black tea, crème de cassis, mocha and tar with a touch of blue fruits shining brightly as well as it exudes beautiful purity of fruit on the nose. On the palate the mouthfeel is plush, as it shows a dense and decadent soft texture backed by flavors of black tea, crème de cassis, Turkish coffee and blueberry compote that all mingle together brilliantly as it glides effortlessly through the mid-palate. The 2015 ‘Palengat’ Red Wine shows shows wonderful aging potential and should shouldcellar marvelously over the next two plus decades. Only 725 cases made of this outstanding wine.
