The 2016 ‘Chaleur Blanc’ is a blend of 68% Sauvignon Blanc and 32% Semillon that is a sensational effort by this historic estate. On the nose, butter and poached pear grip you, followed by lighter white flower and honeysuckle tones. The palate has good grip and acidity, displaying a nice combination of weight and tension. Pink Lady apple, kiwi, and banana custard flavors all nicely mingle together in the glass. Bright and rich, this will cellar for a decade or more.
