The 2015 Weinbau Vineyard Syrah from Januik begins with enticing aromas of ripe dark fruits along with dried herbs and smoke. The palate reveals flavors of dark fruits as well as a touch of blue fruits as it folds in light milk chocolate with sage accents towards the back end. Overall, this is a lovely effort, which should continue to drink well for a decade.
