The 2015 Columbia Valley Red by Passing Time is a simply fabulous effort from a warm vintage that has a touch of Merlot blended in (8%). Toasty oak and black fruits fill the nose with coffee grounds. The palate is rich, plush and viscous as the soft mouthfeel entices. The wine has wonderful tension and viscosity. Black tea, anise, creme de cassis and blackberry cobbler flavors all impress. This is drinking nicely now but has a long life ahead of it.
