The 2016 'Coda’ is a serious blend of 36% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Petit Verdot, which is quite impressive. While not a single vineyard release like Cadence’s higher priced offerings, the slightly younger Coda is a great opportunity to get a quality bottle of Red Mountain juice at a modest price. Aroams and flavors of blueberries, blackberries and hints of tar all take shape and leave an impression.
