BASALT CELLARS Red Wine, Lewis Clark Valley 'Wasem Estate Stone Garden' 2018

A wine of great aging potential tasted over several days. In youth the nose shows savory notes of fruit glazed roasted meat, blackberry, tobacco leaf, green chili pepper, cola, and spice. The palate is lush with wood smoked blackberry, blueberry, and plum, softly textured and balanced over a long flavorful finish. If aging the wine, expect aromas to become more nuanced, smokier, and earthier with developed notes of tobacco and mushroom. The fruit on the palate concentrates into a dried presentation with tobacco leaf and evergreen florist floor. Blend id 40% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot.
