QUILCEDA CREEK Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley 2009

The 2009 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot which was sourced from Champoux, Klipsun, Palengat, and Tapteil and spent 22 months in new French oak. It begins with aromas of cherries, plums, cassis and bramble fruit that are laced with forrest herbs, dried violets, licorice, cedar and forest floor nuances. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and well-structured with a generous core of concentrated dark cherries and licorice nuances that expand throughout. Overall, this is a beautiful wine that is refined, yet also possesses wonderful complexity all they way through the expressive finish.
