Another fantastic wine for the price point by Avennia. This Bordeaux style blend is more Old World in style than New World. The blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc ages 20 months in 60% new French oak barrels and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. With savory herbal components such as fresh thyme, crushed violets and smokey cedar the wine finishes with lengthy tannins, great acidity, crunchy black plum, and bramble. Great now, but will be better in a couple of years. 645 cases made.
