A lovely blend of 72% Roussanne and 28% Marsanne from winemaker Chris Peterson that conveys fragrance of bruised yellow apple, red pear, baby’s breath flower petals, ripe nectarine along with some white ground pepper. The palate is smooth and silky and remits flavors of ripe stone fruits, vanilla bean, sugar cookie and blanched almonds. The length of this wine is absolutely insane and goes on for minutes while the mouthfeel is luxurious and rich. La Perle could possibly be my favorite white wine that has come from Avennia. This wine is so good right now but will age for over a decade with ease. Highly recommended.
