The 2018 Artist Series Syrah comes from the Candy Ridge Vineyard and is another is a fabulous release from Upsidedown Wines. The wine itself opens to inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, blueberries, sweet spices, mocha, violets, mint, and hints of white pepper and earth that all burst from the glass. On the palate this delivers a wonderful round and polished texture wrapping the layers of concentrated dark fruits, dark chocolate and spice that envelope the supple finish. It is an absolute pleasure to taste this Syrah today, however it will likely be even more impressive with a few more years of bottle age.
