This 100% Syrah from vineyards on Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills is really, really good and is a winery that is new to me. A deep garnet-purple core with a blueish rim is a signal of what is to come. Small production and wonderfully made, I’m very excited to see what comes from Rush Lattin in the future. Black plum skin, crushed boysenberry, black cherry, scorched earth, vanilla bean, ground pink peppercorn, and barbequed beef brisket combine wonderfully and magically in the glass. It finishes a touch earthy with a wonderful minerality that hits the mid-palate and goes on for minutes. About 100 cases were produced.
