The 240 acre Les Collines Vineyards is one of the higher vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley with an upper elevation of 1,380 feet. This expressive Syrah was aged in 70% new French oak prior to bottling. This begins with aromas of smoked meats, blackberry jam, and anise. On the palate, there are flavors of blueberry cobbler, blackberry preserves, and smoke. This is done in the hedonistic style but in a good way. (Best 2016-2025) - February, 2016 (OB)
