The 2014 'Tenet' is a compelling blend of 43% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 22% Mourvèdre from the collaboration of winemakers, Bob Bertheau, Michel Gassier and Philippe Cambie. This dense, concentrated wine needs some air contact for this to unwind. Once open, this comes to life with bold aromatics of black cherry reduction, tar, violets, and milk chocolate. There are intense flavors of blackberry cobbler, black tea, mocha and hints of blueberry cordial which are deeply integrated. The stunning palate and fruit weight on the mid-palate accentuate this beautiful Syrah. Outstanding today, but allow this another few years to fully develop. (Best 2018-2028) - October, 2016 (OB)
