The 2014 'Gran Blanc' is an outstanding blend of 49% Viognier, 25% Marsanne and 26% Roussanne which was sourced from the Lonesome Ranch Vineyard in the Columbia Valley. This wine opens with enticing aromatics reminiscent of green papaya, mango, starfruit and suggestions of Japanese pear. There is a wonderful core of minerality, followed by flavors of cantaloupe, Pink Lady apple, kiwi and mulberry. The finish is exceptional and mineral-driven. I can see this having a surprisingly long life in the cellar. (Best 2017-2025) - March, 2017 (OB)
