MAISON BLEUE Red Wine 'Coureur des Bois' 2014

A great blend of 40% Mourvèdre, 40% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon this wine begins with aromatics of smoked brisket, milk chocolate, mint and black cherry with black olive tapenade. The texture is absolutely lovely and rich. Flavors of black cherry, tar, sweet pipe tobacco, smoked meats and umami persist, finishing clean with minerals. This massive wine is drinking beautifully right now and is another outstanding wine made by Dr. Jon Meuret. (Best 2017-2027) - June, 2017 (OB)
