The 2016 Los Alamos Vineyard Pinot Noir from Gavin Chanin begins with aromas of fresh cherries and red berries coupled with baking spices, lavender, and damp soil all taking shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied with soft, round tannins and precise flavors of red fruits and spices at its core, which expand though the finish. This is showing well today and should continue to develop nicely in bottle over the next 8-10 years.
