This Chardonnay from Au Bon Climat is from the Los Alamos Vineyard. The vineyard is situated between the Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Maria Valley AVA's. The wine opens to wonderful nuances of Meyer lemon, tropical fruits, crushed stone and hints of green apple. It has a bright, racy core with a creamy texture, lovely acidity and gorgeous cirus flavors from start to finish. This wine is drinking exceptionaly well today, but will also benefit from a year or two in the bottle. (Best 2018-2025) - June 2017 (MD)
