Ranin Vineyard is located at the northern end of Napa Valley on Diamond Mountain, the 8-acre vineyard is situated on a hillside with conifer trees and rocky red soils. This Single Vineyard Cabernet is only made in exceptional vintages, and the 2015 is nothing short of thoroughly impressive. It begins with scintillating aromatics, which reveal nuances of Turkish coffee, crème de cassis, dusty minerals, red bell pepper and red cherry compote all taking shape. On the palate this is simply striking, as the gorgeous opluent mouthfeel generously coats the palate. Concentrated flavors of crème de cassis, red bell pepper, sour black cherries, mocha, Asian spices and tea leaf all continue to build up to the long, voluptuous finish. The seamless quality of this wine is utterly captivating, making it nearly impossible to resist, as this magnificent wine flirts with perfection.
