The 2016 'Roberta’s Reserve' is a total knockout in this vintage from Kapcsándy. Composed of 100% Merlot this begins with seductive aromas of blackberries and blueberries along with fresh violets and sweet spices and earthy mineral accents all taking shape. On the palate this possesses a medium to full body with gorgeous soft, velvety tannins that are beautifully polished, yet also provide plenty of structure. It displays outstanding overall balance and concentration, with a core of beautifully pure ripe dark fruits that expand seamlessly onto the long finish. This is a total gem from Kapcsándy and already has so much to offer, however readers will still want to let this age for at least a few more years before approaching.
