The 2017 Grand Vin from Kapcsándy is utterly brilliant and one of the most captivating wines from the entire vintage. This simply gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon begins to impress with its seductive aromatics of ripe black cherries and dark currants, which are woven together with graphite, spices, violets, fresh tobacco, and hints of licorice that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and impeccably balanced, with beautifully polished tannins and a fresh juicy core of ripe dark fruits and graphite that envelope the palate leading up to the incredibly long, seamless finish. This is nothing short of a drop dead stunning wine from the Kapcsandy’s that is sensational today, but should also go on to cruise in the cellar and drink beautifully for decades to come.
