SAVAGE GRACE Cabernet Franc, Rattlesnake Hills ‘Copeland Vineyard’ 2019

Another spectacular Cabernet Franc from the Copeland Vineyard in Rattlesnake Hills is aged for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels and sees about 15% whole cluster during fermentation to give it some added structure. Ripe black raspberry, a hint of wild mountain huckleberry, raw rhubarb, tilled wet earth, and just a spec of green bell pepper are all present on the palate. It’s a lovely, drinkable, and age-worthy bottle of wine that will be even better in 2024.
