Fruit sourced from some of the oldest vines in Washington State with fruit coming from the Champoux and Sagemoor Vineyards, this Cabernet is aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Sporting a dense, dark purple core with a brickish rim in the glass, and notes of macerated boysenberry, fresh blue fig, new leather, cedary herbs, dark chocolate, and espresso powder. The palate is a touch riper and aged than the nose, with some dried currant and wet earth notes. It’s well-rounded and balanced with high levels of acidity and integrated sweet tannin, with a lengthy dark-fruit and earthy finish that goes on and on. Enjoy this one for the next 15-20 years.
