I admit that I don’t typically love Chardonnays from Washington State. I find them a bit flabby, lacking pizazz and fruit flavors. I should have known that Todd Alexander would craft a lovely bottle of Chardonnay from Washington that delivers gorgeous aromas of bruised apple, grilled pineapple, and butterscotch on the nose. Medium acidity and a full mouthfeel frame the palate along with flavors of ripe peach, fresh pineapple, and sweet baking spices.
