Upsidedown's 2020 Roussanne comes from the sandy soils of the Yakima Valley and is aged on lees in new French oak for 11 months. This beautiful white opens to attractive aromatics of orchard fruits, honeysuckle, flint, orange zest, spring flowers, and mineral notes, which all follow suit on the palate. This offers an excellent rich, waxy texture with wonderful depth, underlined by lovely acidity and crispness, leading into the lingering finish. Overall, this is a fantastic effort, which is already showing remarkably well, however I expect it to continue to evolve beautifully over the 5-7 years or more.
